Setting up is quick. The seats fold down ready for your bed and the table folds out of the swing gate. On Outer Banks, the roof lifts and food and drink can be stored in the front console3. Wherever you stop, the campsite goes.

Both rows fold down to open up the cabin for sleeping. A custom inflatable mattress shaped to fit the interior will be available as an accessory5.

Ford first built the Bronco in 1966 and called it an All-Purpose Vehicle, because the category it belonged to didn’t even exist yet. Sixty years on, Basecamp is the first electrified Bronco.

Some facts about Bronco Basecamp
An adventure-ready SUV built around a simple idea: your vehicle shouldn’t just get you to the adventure, it should be part of it. With a super-hybrid powertrain, five seats and all-wheel drive as standard, it’s designed to feel as comfortable at a campsite on Saturday morning as it does in traffic on Tuesday.
Super-hybrids are also known as Extended Range Electric Vehicles (EREVs). Bronco Basecamp combines dual-motor electric driving (49kWh usable battery) with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that acts solely as an on-board generator. You get the responsive feel of an electric vehicle and a combined estimated driving range of 800–900km (WLTP)2.
Yes. Both the front and rear seats fold down, and the cabin converts into a sleeping space without having to take your luggage out.
Pro Power Onboard™4 allows up to a maximum 6.6kW draw from the drive battery, so you can run high-draw appliances like an induction cooktop, a kettle or an espresso machine through the integrated outlets or the available external adaptor5.
Bronco Basecamp arrives in the second half of 2027.
